Education is the key

Unlike public education systems in western countries, those in Peru are not free and many families can't afford their costs. For many uneducated parents, the difference that an education could make in their children's futures remains unrealized. In addition, a wide range of social problems from family violence to drug dependency directly influence a child's academic success.

Quality education is the only sustainable route towards development.

This is why we are fighting to address these issues and to put quality education at the forefront. Learn more about SKIP.

Recent Meetings with N.G.O.s

The meetings proved to be very productive. Despite the diverse aims, circumstances and agendas of the organisations in attendance there was also a great deal of common ground. As the socio-economic problems we face in Porvenir are interconnected, the co-operation of organisations is vital to making significant and lasting progress.
